About Me:I love to read, and write (hence the inkslinger), as well as playing the flute and piano, and singing. I live in a family of six, not including my dog. And I love to argue, of course! I hate illogical arguments, though. And I hate bad grammar or spelling. So watch out, textspeakers!
Activities:Bowling, Hiking, Martial Arts, Soccer
Beliefs:I'm pretty much sort of a closet good person. I'm not outstandingly nice (sickly sweet is not my thing) but I never swear, never drink, never smoke, never do anything to compromise what I think is right. Yeah, I believe in God, and I've gotten into some pretty awesome arguments with an atheist about that. So far I've been able to convince him that there's an unscientific streak of kindness in humans, so that's a start. Um... basically, I just kind of have all those nice, shiny values that everyone scorns. May my awesomeness burn inside you. One side note on the Gay issue: I usually put down in favor of them, but I personally believe it's wrong. I also believe, though, every person should be able to choose. So... just to be clear on that.
Quotes:"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away."

"Open mind, insert common sense."

Astronomy is the Most Interesting Type of Science

InkSlinger4
zdog234

Hello! Please debate. :) Astronomy is, I believe, the most interesting type of science. There are many unexplored areas in it, so we still have much to learn, and it may produce outstanding results when we do make discoveries in that area. It is much less mundane, much more mysterious, and is so vast that one exploring it would never be at a loss for things to learn or find out. While physics, biology, etc. are very important, they have been explored very thoroughly and are too close to home...

Christian's believe Marriage is for earth, not heaven.

candice
InkSlinger4

Jesus said, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures of the power of God. At the resurrection people will neither marry not be given in marriage; they will be like the angels of heaven. But about the resurrection of the dead- have you not read what God said to you, I am the God of Abraham, The God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living." Matthew22:29-33 Please explain to me now, how Mormon's believe you are married in heaven. Not onl...

The Book of Mormon is Scripture

InkSlinger4
Mangani

Challenging because of your comment on Mormons are Christian. Not mine, but the other one. I would debate about the rest of Mormon scripture, but because you're so adamant about reading their entirety and I'm only working on the other two, I thought I'd keep it to the one I've read and our church is named after. The Book of Mormon: Another Testimony of Jesus Christ is written by several ancient prophets in America and edited by Mormon, another prophet, who it's named after. While my potential...

Fantasy is Better than Science Fiction

InkSlinger4
beem0r

Fantasy is better than Science Fiction because it is more flexible, so it can be more imaginative and creative, and takes the reader on a further, more fun trip. I also enjoy Science Fiction, I just don't think it's as good. Thanks to whoever debates this, I'll respond more when the next argument is posted....

Mormons are Christian

InkSlinger4
Evan_MacIan

A Christian is defined as someone who believes and adheres to Christ. Mormons do so, and believe in most commonly accepted facts about Jesus and the Bible. Written mainly as a response to 'Mormons are not christians', but anyone can argue. I don't know why anyone contests this, so I will wait for an opponent to give me something to prove wrong....
