About Me:A firm believer in compromise and listening to those who disagree. I am always willing to see something from another point of view. An artist by trade, although I'm fairly adept at writing as well. I've also recently taken an interest in Taekwondo, and it has had a profound effect on my self-esteem and confidence.
Activities:Aerobics, Dancing, Golf, Martial Arts, Running, Soccer, Swimming, Volleyball, Walking, Weight Lifting
Beliefs:I'm a moderate with a liberal slant. I have many of the typical liberal beliefs, such as anti-Iraq war, anti-handguns, so on and so forth. However, all those aside, the most important value of mine is compromise. Representational government is not about shafting those who disagree with you - it's about working together and building the best possible solution to appease as many people as possible, and maybe even make a difference. I left Global Warming and Gun Control blank because my stance there is complicated. I have no thoughts as to whether or not we're responsible for Global Warming. I do think that we should err on the side of caution and drastically reduce our emissions. At the very least, the Earth deserves better than what we're giving her. As for guns, I have no problems with rifles or shotguns. I dislike handguns, however, since they exist solely to kill others and are concealable. Pistols should only be obtainable along with a concealed weapons license.

Stubbornness is all well and good, and it has helped me out of a jam more than once. However, I believe that it has no place in Congress. To completely shut out an opposing idea without appreciating its merits is nothing short of foolish. The USA is fairly evenly divided, with no clear majority being either Liberal or Conservative. Thus, passing legislation that is clearly far-left or far-right is utterly irresponsible. The spirit of America is that everyone's voice is heard, and everyone is con...
