About Me:I am student at a selective high school in Sydney. The only problem with selective is that it's really not selective and often is selective for the wrong reasons. I like reasoning, thinking [see beliefs and activities] and more. Life should be enjoyed and I'm always up for thinking, although debating and such requires typing which is time consuming. Want to know more? Talk to me.
Activities:Reading, thinking, learning, some sports, computer related activities, gaming, strategy games (any chess or shogi players here?), trying to convince people of improvements to education, writing etc.
Beliefs:Christian Inclusivist, no biblical inerrancy. Rather politically moderate - I support free markets, but believe in some instances of government intervention - negative externalities, minimum wage (see my debates) and more. Various educational reforms. I also tend to see things as part of a grand synthesis when forming beliefs - this is why my political outlook is moderate - many radical ideologies are a poison to the intellect.
Books:Being a teenager many standard books seen, but other good ones (non teenage standard) - Physics of the Impossible, Is God A Mathematician, Speeches that changed the world, Quantum Theory Cannot Hurt You and more
Movies:Too many to list. A variety - Ronin, Inception, Batman Begins, Arthur, Snow Falling on Cedars, Network, Midnight in Paris etc.
Music:Various, Mainly older however (60s, 70s, 80s) , although good music is good music. My favourite artist is Albert Hammond.
Quotes:Many. A good one - "Total patterns of life must be compared directly as wholes, although the method by which we make the comparison, and the truth of the conclusions, are difficult or impossible to demonstrate. But the vagueness of the concepts, and the multiplicity of the criteria involved, are attributes of the subject-matter itself, not of our imperfect methods of measurement, or of incapacity for precise thought." - Isaiah Berlin
Sports Teams:Sydney FC, Arsenal (soccer / Football), Australian teams for international sport
TV Shows:I'm not watching too many at the moment unfortunately, however some good ones not on TV now - Babylon 5, Star Trek: The Next Generation and more. Currently on TV - Hawaii Five O and The Legend of Korra

Jobs for the boys
