About Me:Once school starts back up, I'll be a sophomore. ;) I generally am on the computer quite often, considering it's the summer brake for me. I enjoy reading and writing quite a lot. I am also in the process of developing and writing a short story. I might just call it a book, if it gets long enough. Lol. I generally get on DDO (debate.org) daily. I've also gotten both Diablo II and Fallout 3, so I play those quite frequently. ;)
Activities:As said above in the "About me" section, I read and write quite a bit for my own enjoyment. I get on DDO quite frequently. I also play Diablo II and Fallout 3 quite frequently. Besides that, though, I play several of AE's browser based games, as the community there is quite adequate.
Beliefs:Generally, I don't tend to be very religious, but I do not consider my self strictly atheist. Thus, I consider myself somewhere in the agnostic realm. My political beliefs don't tend to fit into any set political ideology.
Books:I tend to favor both fictional books and political/scientific books. Some of the most well-written fiction books I've read have got to be Artemis Fowl, and the Last Apprentice series. "To Kill A Mockingbird" is an oldie that I'll always like. Any book regarding the discussion of physics, I will probably enjoy. Any book discussing the various causes of the universe are also good reads. ;)
Movies:Favorite movies, eh? "Batman Begins" and "The Avengers" were good. And I will always love Doctor Who, even if that isn't a movie. >.<
Music:I tend to listen to songs/bands in the rock or metal genre, or songs that have that feel to it. That being said: Seether, System of a Down, Rob Zombie, and Skillet are amazing bands. I've started listening to I Fight Dragons recently, too. Amazing build, even if it's not rock/metal.
Quotes:"You are not entitled to your opinion. You are entitled to your informed opinion. No one is entitled to be ignorant."
― Harlan Ellison
Sports Teams:I enjoy watching Dallas Cowboy and Texas Ranger games on that 1080p television. ;)
TV Shows:I enjoy the animated shows Adventure Time, and Regular Show. I also heavily enjoy the Big Bang Theory. Oh, and Doctor Who... Love Doctor Who.

There is such thing as trying.

PeacefulChaos
MasterKage

I thank MasterKage in advance for accepting this debate.BOP-I, pro, must prove that trying exists. My opponent, con, must prove that trying does not exist. Definitions-Try: to attempt to do or accomplish [1] No other definitions should be necessary. Rules-1. This debate stems off the quote, "Do or do not, there is no try"-Yoda. Thus, the only definition of the word "try" that will be accepted in this debate is the one that is presented above. 2. Although this should not be necessary, there will...

Best Song From A Rock Band

MasterKage
Fluer

So, I got the idea for this debate from F-16. So, essentially you choose one band and state a quick acceptance post in this first round, but both me and my opponent are confined to rock bands. You can post a lyric sample and/or a description of the song, but it is not required. I choose System of a Down....

Resolved: President Obama won the election of 2008 primarily because of his race

MasterKage

The resolution places emphasis on the term "primarily"....insinuating that Obama would not have won the election, had he been Caucasian. Round 1: AcceptanceRound 2: Arguments and rebuttalsRound 3: Rebuttals and Conclusion (no new arguments from Pro, as I wound not be able to respond to them. I can however add new arguments since Pro has another round to respond.) I wish Pro good luck, and hope this can be a brief well-fought debate. ...
