About Me:I love conceptual creation, whether as an object of discussion or a tool for literary expression. I enjoy challenging discussion and playful battles of wit.
Beliefs:I am an epistemological pluralist in terms of religious debate; I am ambivalent on the topic of God and colloquially call myself agnostic. Far beyond that, I enjoy a plethora of philosophic discussions and topics. I am well read on a variety of subjects and readily research new concepts as I encounter them.

Gay Should Not Mean Homosexual

Molzahn
MCDCBC

The first round will be for introductions and acceptance only. The final round will be reserved for closing statement and a summarization of argumentation. In this debate I will contend that the term 'gay' should be accepted to mean 'distasteful' or 'displeasurable' in a way that is completely removed from the context of homosexual preference. It will also be my stance that gay ought not refer to individuals who have a same gender sexual preference. It will be the task of my opponent to refute my...

People cannot be evil.

P912
Molzahn

This is a debate arguing that people, while they do evil things, are not simply "evil". Round 1 is introductions/definitions. Rounds 2,3&4 are arguments. Round 5 is closing arguments. Evil: morally wrong or bad; immoral; wicked http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/evil...

Resolved: Homeschooling is better than public schooling

JrRepublican
Molzahn

I will attempt to show that homeschooling, defined as either strictly at home or with a co-op, is a better form of education that public schooling. We will only discuss educationally related issues, not finances. My opponent will argue that public schools offer better education than do home schools. Rd. #1 is for acceptance and definition questions only. I look forward to a fun debate. Good Luck!...

Can we be justified in our knowledge?

Judgment
Molzahn

I ask that only those comfortable with philosophical terms engage in this debate. This is not a layman's debate; I intend it to be more philosophically (in the literal sense) oriented. I read the comments, so if you find something awry about this topic, but think you might want to engage in it after some change, leave a comment and I'll see what I can do. I am using a fairly standard definition of 'knowledge' in the philosophical sense. It is referred to as the Standard Account of Knowledg...
