About Me:I am a 22-year-old undergraduate currently working on a degree in English. I am also pursuing an education in East Asian Studies with a heavy emphasis on South Korean economics, politics, and society. I'm hoping to use this site as a way to articulate my thoughts more efficiently and communicate with those that want to have a genuine discussion on a wide variety of topics. Nice to meet you all!
Beliefs:My beliefs are too short to fit into this box. Although, my immutable philosophy of beliefs is that everyone is entitled to them, no matter how informed they might be within them. Debating those beliefs requires the respect of all parties to listen and inform one another of the facts, even if someone is in absolute disagreement with them.
Books:Currently reading Korea's Place in the Sun by Bruce Cumings. My favorite books are Korea: The Impossible Country by Daniel Tudor; China's Imperial Past by Charles O. Hucker; and The Korean War by Bruce Cumings.
Movies:Anything by Hayao Miyazaki and Makoto Shinkai. Spirited Away and Your Name are probably my favorites from those directors. John Wick, The Shining, and Se7en are up on my list as well.
Music:I have a broad spectrum, actually! I've been really enjoying Korean Pop music lately. Groups like Twice, Red Velvet, and Dreamcatcher. I also really love older Japanese music: Mariya Takeuchi, Nami Shimada, and Miki Matsubara.
Quotes:"A student said to his master: 'You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace. How do you reconcile the two?' The master replied: 'It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war."
Sports Teams:Team Solomid, Cloud9, and Team Dignitas. Yeah, those are eSports teams! eSports are sports too! Want to debate it? Haha.

Why are you pro-choice?

Since someone signed up as my opponent to just saying they're agreeing with me, I had to remake this debate. I wanted a decent debate, not the "opponent" telling me he's agreeing with everything I said. Because then there's no debate. I'm a pro-life and here's my opinion: 1) I think nobody should have the authority to decide who has and hasn't the right to live. That can both cause a sorting society and trivializing of the child's life. It do also make a society where the child's life don'...
