About Me:I am Reid. My friends call me Old Man Reid because of how old-fashioned I am and because of my many eccentricities. If you look at the rest of my profile, you will see why. I am also proud to be ambidextrous.
Activities:I enjoy playing chess. I play pitcher and quarterback for my school's baseball and football teams. I enjoy playing Sid Meier's Civilization and similar games. I have been learning Spanish for the last 10 years and I am starting to learn German and Norwegian. I plan to begin learning Latin in the next couple of years. I enjoy playing the clarinet and I have 5 years of experience doing so. I also do fantasy football and fantasy baseball.
Beliefs:I am a right-wing Libertarian. I am also an ELCA Lutheran.
Books:I just like reading overall. I do not really have any favourite books, as I mostly read history books.
Movies:I don't really watch too many modern movies. I prefer seeing silent movies.
Music:I like most classical and romantic music. I especially like Dvorak. He is definitely the best romantic composer. I also like a few other songs, like Rock Lobster and Bird is the Word, but otherwise, most stuff written after 1960, I do not much care for.

Sunglasses are superior to baseball hats on a sunny day

Hi! I'm new to this site and I'd like to get the lay of the land by participating in a low-stakes, easy-going debate. That means sources aren't required but optional (I know that in actual debates sources are a must but who cares I just wanna have fun). That also means let me know if I'm doing something dumb. So, I'd like to argue that sunglasses are superior to baseball hats on a sunny day. This takes into account eye-protection, face-protection, economical cost, etc. Basically, if it was su...

Lego is better than Minecraft

Thank you for debating (or trying to) me on such short notice. I appreciate your time and let's get started in this debate. 1) Kids can learn more When you play with Lego's, you have opportunities to open up: Creativity, Patience, direction following, programming, and MUCH MORE! For example: Creativity. This is because you are only given a set amount of pieces in each set, and you have to work with what you have. Lego Mindstorm gives you the ability to make countless things with programmin...

"To disarm the people that is the best and most effectual way to enslave them." -George Mason

I'm going to argue that Guns are not necessary to use and the 2nd Amendment should be repealed. You can use a knife or sword to defend yourself if your Home is attacked or if the U.S. is attacked by force from another Country. The use of a Knife or Sword can be more effective in close combat and close quarters to defend your Home, Property and Sovereignty. You can also use Pepper Spray to shoot at the perpetrators....
