About Me:*I apologize for the double apostrophes; my computer is screwed up. Anyways. . . I"m pretty much your average teenage debate-attempter. I"m an extroverted introvert, if that"s even a thing, and, for those of you who are familiar with the Myers Briggs personality test, I"m an INFJ. My birthday is actually September 18, 2000, but my computer doesn"t seem to be able to change it on my profile. I"m a Virgo, but the opposite of the suggested personality that comes with it. Of the five factions in Divergent (if you"ve read the books or seen the movie, you"ll know what I mean), I think I would fit into Candor the best, hence my profile picture.
Activities:-Reading -Writing (I write short stories and am experimenting with the Horror genre) -Debating (that"s why I"m here) -Thinking about stuff -Playing competitive soccer -Reluctantly playing the piano -Being lazy, mostly.
Beliefs:I"ve been raised in a Roman Catholic family, but I"m still figuring out where I stand religion-wise.
Books:Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant; The Perks of Being a Wallflower; The Fault in Our Stars; The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay; Incendiary by Chris Cleave. . . I also like horror novels and, although I definitely prefer fiction, I sometimes enjoy non-fiction philosophy books (if I"m not feeling too lazy).
Movies:I like pretty much every movie I watch, to be honest. But The Perks of Being a Wallflower was exceptional. Juno was amazing too. I also love to watch horror movies, and I am morbidly intrigued by movies like Saw.
Music:My favourite bands/artists are: The Beatles, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Sam Roberts Band, Vampire Weekend, Cake, Hey Rosetta!, OK Go, Metric, The Head and the Heart, Of Monsters and Men, Walk Off The Earth, Bastille, Passion Pit, The Neighbourhood, Fitz and the Tantrums, the Ramones, The Lumineers, Foster the People, Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran, The Black Keys, The 1975, Coldplay, USS, Tokyo Police Club, and Nirvana.
Quotes:"In this moment, I swear, we are infinite." -Perks of Being a Wallflower
TV Shows:I am infinitely grateful that my family does not have a TV.

Should the United States Ban Guns?

To start, I will begin this debate with one sentence and one sentence only: If we establish laws that ban guns, citizens will follow the law and give their guns; if we establish laws that ban guns, criminals will not follow those laws... since they are criminals....

Can the human race get along as a whole?

We as a whole cannot seem to agree on just about anything. Between wars and greed we are consumed. With either destroying ourselves or polluting the planet. If we were visited by a hostile alien race we would war with ourselves to decide who is in charge. They wouldn't even have to fire a shot we would do it for them....

Justin Bieber does deserve the hate he gets.

In my opinion, Justin Bieber doesn't deserve any of the hate he gets at all. After all, he's human and nobody has enough access to his personal life to make a judgment on him. To my future opponent: thank you for joining my debate; it's a real honor since this would be my first debate. To voters: Solemnly vote for who you think won the debate, not for your personal beliefs/opinions; only for who provided the rock hard evidence. Back to my opponent: I'm ready. Bring on the war....

Are subjects we learn in school useful outside school?

I think that subjects we learn in school are useful due to many motives... First of all most subjects help in the future for a bright career. Most and many of the subjects taught in school are the basis for our imminent professions! Subjects like history help us to know mistakes made in the past, learn about them in the present, and not repeat the same missteps in the time to come. Many people may say that most topics studied in Mathematics, like algebra or Trigonometry, won't help on a daily b...
