Why you calling it a travesty? And why not impressed?

I"m a Thunder fan, so that explains my feelings rather well.

You both make some very good points!

From what I understand Curry's grade 2 MCL sprain is healing well and ahead of schedule with his projected return to be at some point during the Western Conference semi-finals. Kevin Durant and the rest of the Warriors have elevated their game big time during Curry's absence and they are going to be a tough out no matter who they play next.

I think we should just cancel the NBA finals and make the finals between Golden State vs. Houston but the NBA commissioner doesn't see it that way.

Thanks!

I"m very excited for tonight"s games, specifically watching my Thunder (hopefully) make the series 2-1.

The Blazers are highly overrated, in my opinion. When you put a good defender on Lillard (in this case Holiday) he crumbles and the rest of the team can do nothing because they are used to him setting the tone on offense. Take him out and they collapse, as we have seen. Pelicans in 4.

The only teams capable of beating the Warriors (or at least giving them a chalenge) are Oklahoma City, Houston, and perhaps New Orleans. Houston would have the best chance of beating them, assuming they make the conference finals. OKC should be able to beat the Jazz in 5-6 and will subsequently face GS (barring a Spurs comeback). I hope OKC can at least take them to 6 games to make up for a rather disappointing season.

Well this thread will be between me and fanboy. Since there no one else on this site really care about hockey.

So, what happen to the Golden Knights? We last talked about them they were in 1st. Now they slipped to 3rd in the west.

Not only that. But Now they face The LA Kings. I sure you remember the Kings won the last two games between them.so that even the season series at 2 games a piece.

This will Not be an easy FIRST round for both teams. I could see this going to the full 7 games.

I sure you know the seeding by now but i will link the matchup at the bottom.

What other playoffs match-up are you interested in? Beside the Knights and Kings first-round.

I think the Ducks vs the Sharks going 7 too. Should be fun.
The other series is the 2X defending champion Pittsburgh against the Flyers should be very good too...

Golden Knights over the Kings in 6 games!!! The Kings are nothing, barely limping into the playoffs, All you got is Kopitar and Doughty, you think Dionne Pheneuff is going to stop Karlsson with his 44 goals this season.

Golden Knight Rule
Kings drool

Someone has to stop this!

I'm 1948, the Jews took control over Israel. At that point, the local Muslims were like "Screw this, we don't want to life in a society where those filthy Jews are our equals", and so they left. In doing so, they might as well have forfeited their claims to Israeli citizenship for themselves and their children.
Now, their descendants, who have inherited their parents' antisemitism and Arab supremacism, want back in so they can destroy the Jewish state from within, and maybe start a Second Holocaust if they're lucky. They almost certainly transcended the boundaries of peaceful protest, probably threw a few rocks at the Israelis and set a few cars on fire and whatnot. I have absolutely no problem with how the Israeli government responded.

A pretty good analysis I'd say.

Abe Lincoln was a Republican.Posted 3 years Ago

Lincoln was also a rather cunning politician who changed his tune (mainly on slavery) depending on where he was at the time in order to potentially gain more votes against Douglas.

Nothing supports the idea that Lincoln "changed his tune (mainly on slavery)" . . .

Yes, except his own words.

"I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races..."

And that has nothing to do with chattel slavery of African Americans.

"There is a natural disgust in the minds of nearly all white people to the idea of indiscriminate amalgamation of the white and black races ... A separation of the races is the only perfect preventive of amalgamation, but as an immediate separation is impossible, the next best thing is to keep them apart where they are not already together. If white and black people never get together in Kansas, they will never mix blood in Kansas ..."

"In the language of Mr. Jefferson, uttered many years ago, "It is still in our power to direct the process of emancipation, and deportation, peaceably, and in such slow degrees, as that the evil will wear off insensibly; and in their places be, pari passu [on an equal basis], filled up by free white laborers."

"I have no purpose directly or indirectly to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so."

"I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position."

"Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. As long as blacks continue to live with the whites they constitute a threat to the national life. Family life may also collapse and the increase of mixed breed bastards may some day challenge the supremacy of the white man."

"As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy."

"I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races " I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races from living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be a position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race."
