We need to focus on energy security and income inequality

TSLexi
JackFritschy

In order to fix our energy crisis and our income inequality crisis, we should: 1. Switch to thorium, solar, and wind power. 2. Switch to an electricity-backed currency. 3. Replace all taxes with a land and IP value tax. 4. All tax revenue not used for defense, law enforcement, and public infrastructure should be invested, and the returns distributed to the citizens Thorium reactors have several advantages over traditional U-235 reactors: 1. We should use behavioral neuroscience techniques to assist law enforcement

TSLexi
WillRiley

By using behavioral neuroscience principles, we can create a world where criminals are either given the help they need, or summarily executed, police brutality is physically impossible, and the community self-polices. Should we transition to an electricity-backed dollar?

TSLexi
pdaines

Our fiat money has wrecked our economy by facilitating massive deficit spending, resulting in the destruction of our purchasing power, increasing the real value of our ever-increasing national debt. A gold standard would provide backing to our currency, however, gold per se is very disconnected to the economy...it's a rare, shiny, corrosion-resistant, pretty metal, and that's about it. On a gold standard, discovery and extraction of gold will lead to economic disaster. Gold mining consumes...

Should we ban gasoline engines?

TSLexi
Taylor.Gregory

We need to stop using gasoline engines. Diesels are a) more efficient, b) last longer, and c) can run on biodiesel, a renewable source of diesel, or shale oil. By switching to diesel cars, we can make use of our abundant oil shale deposits, and eventually transition to 100% biodiesel as our main fuel source, drastically reducing our demand for foreign oil. Also, the six stroke cycle developed by Crower increases the power of the engine by injecting water after the 4th stroke. This a) produces...

Should we take out Iran

TSLexi
Anonymous1122

As we know, we are $20 trillion in debt, and that debt will only climbhigher. Our systematic deficit spending has dropped our credit rating, and monetizing the debt has ruined our currency. Also, Iran has proven itself to be a major threat to global security, through its funding of Hezbollah and Hamas. The past and present Administrations believe there is no way we can get ourselves out of this financial mess without taxing our citizens and companies into the ground, damaging our economy e...
