About Me:I'm a sixteen year old in Colorado, but was born in Houston, Texas and am a proud Texan.
Activities:I enjoy playing football, weightlifting, debating, hanging out with my friends, skiing, hunting, and pretty much anything outside and in the mountains.
Beliefs:I am a Christian, turned deist, turned athiest. The reason I am an athiest is simply because I have listened to the following 3 individuals a lot; Penn Jillette, Sam Harris, and Richard Dawkins. If you listen to them speak or read their books, chances are you will become an athiest. I believe there is no God, but I don't know if there's something beyond us after we die or not. There's many things we don't understand, but the idea of heaven, hell, or reincarnation don't seem very realistic.

" Accomplishment will prove to be a journey, not a destination." -Dwight D. Eisenhower
"Truth is treason in the empire of lies." -Ron Paul
"It's not so much religion per se, it's false certainty that worries me, and religion just has more than its fair share of false certainty or dogmatism. I'm really concerned when I see people pretending to know things they clearly cannot know." -Sam Harris

The USFG should adopt a carbon tax.

The first round is acceptance. Round two is opening arguments. Round three is rebuttals. Round four is final rebuttals and voters/conclusion. This debate is under NFL public forum rules, so no kritiks, counter plans or other obvious cx debate stuff. Framework and observations are fine, though. Good luck!...

Capitalism has outgrown its necessity and done nothing but intensify the ancient, barbaric feudal relationships it was sanctified to do away with. The conditions of capitalism: states, classes, capital, etc. are obsolete, and thus we must dispel all superstitions - we must reject all external "big others" - that tell us these artificial constructs are necessary. Consciously rejecting the idealism and cultural dogma that capitalism has wrought is the paramount approach to advancing humanity's...

The Voting Age Should be Decreased to 16

Resolution: In the USA, the voting age in all elections should be decreased to 16 The first round is for acceptance and definitions only. All definitions are debatable. I am pro, meaning that I believe the voting age should be decreased. The only definition I believe is neccesary is this Voting age- A voting age is a minimum age established by law that a person must attain to be able to vote in public elections. You are free to provide definitions if you wish. Good luck....
