The signature of God in The Holy Quran and modern physics

Haytham
TheAspiringPhilosopher

In The Name of Allah, The Entirely Merciful, The Especially Merciful The Holy Quran was verbally revealed from Allah (God Be He Glorified) to Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the angel Gabriel (peace be upon him) gradually over a period of approximately 23 years, And the order of the current text differs from the chronological order, The current arrangement of every chapter is thus not connected to the sequence of revelation, And the chronological order of the entire revelation is vastly...

What are the 10 Commandments and did they heavily influence the bill of rights

At first I was going to try to explan each of them as I went, Then I decided this was a much better ideal: Exodus 34:1 - 28"34 The Lord said to Moses, “Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. 2 Be ready in the morning, And then come up on Mount Sinai. Present yourself to me there on top of the mountain. 3 No one is to come with you or be seen...

Is faith a good path to truth?

TheAspiringPhilosopher
Haytham

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, The evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11: 1. This is how I will define faith in order to appeal to the most-likely Christian responders. I will simplify it as thus: Faith is confidence for things not observed. Now, Let's simplify and answer the question of this debate premise. Is faith enough to come mostly true conclusions? My answer, Unsurprisingly, Is no. Well I have made an assertion, Thus I have necessarily adopted the burd...

The CoVid-19 virus is manmade, And exemplifies the unseen dangers of virus research.

DrSpy

Lets be a bit provocative here :). For the sake of this argument, I believe that the coronavirus is a result of human virus genetic engineering. It was accidentally transmitted out, And demonstrates how dangerous virus research is. I am not saying we should not be doing research. I am saying that the actual CoVid-19 virus in its current form, Was assembled by man, And not from animals. Let be curious and have fun....

Is there a god(s)?

TheAspiringPhilosopher
TheUnexaminedLife

I am a atheist. Before I am flooded with straw mans I will clearly define what I mean by the term atheist. There are two general ways of defining atheist: The gnostic and the agnostic. The gnostic is the one who posits: "There is no god, " Thus adopting the burden of proof as that is an assertion. Then there is the agnostic: "I am unconvinced of the theist position, The theist position is, 'there is a god(s)' therefore I am unconvinced of the hypothesis of god. " I fall under the second position...
