I thank Aburk for agreeing to debate this with me. I have chosen him because he, so far, is the challenger with the highest number of debates won and the lowest number of debates lost. I do enjoy a good challenge. Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, this is a debate that is close to my heart. Cadbury Creme Eggs are the most beautiful little pieces of heaven that exist on earth. Or at least I think so. Format (me/my opponent): 1st round- Rules/acceptance 2nd round- Main arguments/arguments an...

Could Spider-Man beat Batman in a fight?

TheRealNerdyBoy

I believe Spider-Man would beat Batman for numerous reasons. One, Spider-Man has a variety of powers including: Strength allowing him to left up to 10 tons; reflexes 15 times faster than any normal human ( allowing him to dodge bullets); superhuman speed faster than an Olympic runner; the ability to stick too and climb walls; and a spider-sense that alerts him to any danger. Two, Spider-Man is very intelligent, being smart enough to create an extremely powerful new adhesive and to create a subst...

God Is Omnipotent

I have made this debate short as it is fairly unpractical. I use it only to make a point. Today, we will be debating on the power of God. I assert that logic and reason are more powerful than "God's divine power". My opponent will forfeit both of his rounds in defense of faith, and only offer prayers to God. Unless God causes a miracle, I must win this debate. However, the Bible says with faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains. The conclusion I'd like all voters to ask thems...

Compulsory voting on debate.org would create fairer results

SkepticalDebatee

I am disturbed by a trend that I have seen on this website. Individuals are winning and losing debates regardless of how reasonable and thorough their case was, because they are subject to the whims of the one member who took the time to vote! I am not suggesting that subjectivity decreases in numbers, but the more users who are polled will provide a fairer outcome for future debates. So I propose that debate.org should make voting on 1-on-1 debates compulsory (not every member for every deba...

Victimless crimes are not crimes at all.

Hello all. My premise is that victimless crimes are not crimes at all. A victimless crime is an action that is currently criminal, but one that harms no one other than the individual(s) willingly participating in said activity. Examples of such crimes are drug use, prostitution, and suicide. Individuals are still held accountable for subsequent actions that interfere with the autonomy of others, similar to current laws that apply to persons under the influence of alcohol. I look forward to...
