About Me:Hi, I'm a 26 year old and currently live in the Northwestern part of the United State. I've had a lot of interesting experiences in my life that I've learned important lessons from and am still learning from, everyday. Many of my experiences have been "good"/positive for me, and many have been "bad"/extremely devastating. I want to offer my opinions and ideas respectfully and compassionately , as a way of processing and expressing the different thoughts and experiences i go through. I would be thankful and blessed if any of my opinions and ideas i share on could also give someone else who needs someone they can relate to in their life, some hope, more ideas, and a different perspective on life, if that's what they are looking for. I do my best to put myself in other people's shoes and keep a very open mind without trying to compromise my own, valid beliefs and values.
Activities:Listening to and writing music, singing and playing guitar, piano, and other musical instruments, practicing taekwondo and other martial arts, creating things, watching movies, tv shows, and short funny videos, writing down my thoughts and feelings, drawing and other types of art, nutrition/exercises and unhealthy foods from time to time. I haven't skateboarded for a long time but I skated so often for many years and found it relaxing and fun. I also work at advocating against any kind of abuse of people, specifically within the American health care system too, any kinds of foster/proctor parents, group homes that are harmful,"tough love" programs that claim to fix your kid for a price and then discharge them from their program after causing them so much more damage that is often inconsolable. Advocating for better communication within the healthcare system between doctors, staff, therapists etc, especially the mental health and behavioral parts.
Beliefs:Treat other living things the way you want to be treated.
Books:Whatever I find that is interesting to read in that moment of time. I don't generally finish books right now from cover to end. I just pick and choose. I like reading about random funny or amazing facts, studying medicine, other sciences like physics even though i am by no means in expert or anywhere near an expert when it comes to physics. I just like learning about how things around me work and how artistic complicated math equations can look. I really like magazines about science, also about interior design, foods and recipes, and people.
Movies:I LOVE movies. Drama is probably my favorite movie genre with Comedy being a favorite also. Too many out there for me to pick a favorite.
Music:Got my first guitar at 8 yrs. I played piano first but know guitar better. I don't know if I would have made it without music. I find music not only entertaining but healing. I listen to many different types of music....alternative rock and pop are my favorite genres and some specific oldies artists. I love listening to people who have mad guitar or piano skills, and people who can sing really well, naturally. The only thing I don't like in music is when any genre uses lyrics that are explicit and talk about any gender in a way that makes them as objects or exploits them in other ways, instead of portraying them as the valuable and unique beings we are. Listening to lyrics about selfishness and violence over and over again can desensitize a person to where they start enabling and supporting these types of things even when they aren't aware of it. (Less often) it sometimes influences a person's thinking patterns in a way that they start acting in terms of what the music is justifying.
TV Shows:I don't watch much tv shows right now as I have more at times, tv shows i got into for a while in the past were Grey's Anatomy, Hey Arnold, Chrisley Knows Best, Disappeared, House MD, See No Evil, Arthur (animated kids show on PBS network), Spongebob Squarepants, and other things. I've liked the Discovery and History channels too.
