need for inculcating reading habit in children

debate.unique
Logical-Master

I don't think there is any need of inculcating reading habits in children. After all, what is the use? Children only waste their time reading books. And as far as learning a language is concerned, one can even learn it by conversing in it and listening to it. Further, there are many other constructive things that one can do during one's free time. So, I don't think that inculcating the habit of reading books is important.........

The modern Indian woman is described as one who is free of all inhibitions - she rides to work on her Scoot Pep, wears western clothes like jeans. Now, taking the example of the character Esha from the book, One Night @ the Call Centre, by Chetan Bhagat, the protagonist described her as one of those kind of women who slogged all night yet was rebuked by her mother-in-law. She works and yet, she has to do all the household chores. Is this your definition of the Modern Indian Woman? This brings u...

Democracy is the best form of government

Sweatingjojo

Democracy, in today's world, is the best form of government. Day by day, the number of democrecies in the world are increasing. Some of the reasons that support my posotion as pro are: 1. Democracy represents the views and notions of all the citizens of the country, whether majorities or minorities. 2. It helps in solving conflicts and quarrels in a better way. 3. It provides a dignity to the people. 4. It helps in realising one's mistakes and improving upon them. 5. There is no other form...
