A woman's vote should count for 3/5 of a man's.

I would like to thank you for accepting my debate and am excited to see which points you pose as to why votes shouldn't have different value based on gender. Based on my subsequent information, you'll see that offering 3/5 of a vote to women is actually quite generous.

First of all, the main role of the government is to protect its citizens and enforce its laws to achieve this. I would like to first mention that women are not required to register for the draft. Men almost make up a disproportionate amount of local, state, and federal law enforcement. Statistics show that most precincts are comprised of between 10-20% women[1]. So, my first question is: if women have an equal part in making the laws, then why do they not enforce them?

Secondly, men are natural leaders. This would explain why every matriarchal society has vanished, except for Native Americans. It has been the traditional role of men to be the head of the household and to protect his family, but this can be undermined if women can equally impact this environment. Women vote based on feelings or remain reliant on others to help solve the problem[2], which can lead to dangerous results. When women inject subjectivity into the political environment, identity politics prevail. Women much more often affiliate with the Democratic Party[3], which provides more welfare benefits in much higher amounts than most parties. Welfare benefits are deleterious to the economy because they reduce the incentive to earn and to save, which has led to our skyrocketing debt, formulated by entitlements. From the economical perspective, keeping less of what you earn reduces incentive to earn, and net worth grows more slowly when welfare benefits are offered based on how little individuals make.
Furthermore, women contribute much less to our economy. Men are much more likely to work overtime and take less vacation. In fact, men work an average of 14 extra hours every month in comparison to women[4]. Men also take more high-paying majors disproportionately in comparison to women, especially engineering, technology, and business degrees[5]. By these statistics, it is obvious that men more positively impact the economy, and should therefore have more authority as to what should be done with it.
Finally, societal advancements have been ignoble since women have been given the right to vote. First off, 59% of women support more gun control as opposed to 47% of men. Throughout history, governments have taken control over a people by taking away their main sources of defense. In addition to this, the aforementioned claim that women support welfare policies elucidate that women support larger government and less guns, a dangerous combination. Feminist leaders have also supported affirmative action for women. This is a discriminatory policy that focuses on identity rather than merit, which is a policy that leads to domestic tension and will lead to slower levels of societal progression as results.
All of this information proves that men have a much more positive and fair plan for America's future. Men contribute more to the enforcement of laws, they make more just laws, they contribute far more to the American economy. Women undoubtedly have an impact as well, but it is much smaller by comparison. For these reasons, I believe a women's vote should be worth 3/5 of a man's.
