Pro

Ancient China has had many inspirational philosophers, even a whole belief-like system, Confucianism . China is a great country when it comes to philosophy. Confucius all the way.

Con

My opponent has not proved anything. He has not shown how Ancient China was the most philosophical ancient civilization, just that they were philosophical. I could just as easily argue that Buddhist philosophy from India was superior, or ancient Greek philosophy, such as from philosophers like Socrates and Zeno of Citium.

Not really. If anything, this is one of the easiest debates to win. I could simply explain how this is subjective thus rendering it incapable of being the most philosophical civilization.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro did not really make an argument, a shame since the title of this debate gave me cause to think this was going to be a good-one.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro has not met his burden of proof. He has shown that ancient China is indeed very philosophical, but that doesn't support his resolution that it is the most philosophical ancient civilization.
