Yes, animals are definitely not as smart as we are. They cannot do what we do. However, this does not mean they are not smart enough to live . They have their own way of surviving in this world, just like we have our own ways. If an animal ever commits an evil deed, it does not make them evil. They cannot help being dumb to know any better.

And would it really be fun to be the only animals on this planet? No. We cannot all be the same.

Animals may not think like us, but they can teach us so much. What have dogs taught us? Or wolves? Or chimpanzees?

Thanks to TheINFJofINFJS for challenging me to this debate. I invite her to defend her opening claims in the next round. Good luck!
Debate Round No. 1

Thank you for your support, Dylan.

Okay, back to business.

Have you ever had a dog or saw a dog and thought it was adorable (unless if it was aggressive)?

Well...I'm saying dogs are called man's best friend for a reason.

Animals have been proven to be like dogs, who can reflect their behavior off of ours.

Animals are, in a way, like babies; they make noise, do things they shouldn't, but they don't know any better. But unlike a baby, they at like this forever. But animals have a way of living that is much smarter than a baby's. If you take a look at how animal society is, you can see they can be like us in some ways, wrong, right, or just neutral.

I would only want an animal to die to put it out of its misery, or if it could not be controlled at all, no matter how much effort to help it. Other than that , animals should live in a balanced population- some animals to be eaten, some to live on. We must keep balance of species. Overpopulation is never good. But animals cannot help but not know any better. They may not be as smart as we are to rationalize, but they are not intended for malice.
