Art is a media that exceeds any classification, and as such these things should be considered art. The creators of these things put blood, sweat, and tears into what they create, just like any other piece of art. I believe anything can be considered art, especially these things.

Censorship is obviously unconstitutional and goes against the First Amendment. Video games, movies, and TV shows are artistic because they involve creativity, original ideas, talent, and the like. People are free to agree or disagree with what they view, listen to, or choose to participate in as long as it does not intrude on or violate the rights of others. In the 1980's, photographs and art done by controversial people such as Robert Mapplethorpe or August Serrano were deemed offensive or obscene and banned. However, the courts appointed juries who found the works lawful and constitutionally protected. The art did not fall into the definition of pornography as the had legitimate artistic merit. Nor were any sex-related crimes connected to the works. The Bible has parts that obviously deal with sex such as the story of Lott and his daughters, or the Song of Solomon. It also depicts violence such as David killing Goliath, King Solomon and his men falling on their swords to commit suicide, or epic battles of the Hebrews and the Canaanites. The Crucifixion is even depicted as gory or morbid. Many Evangelical Christians who support banning violent content that they object to in movies, TV shows, or video games kick and scream when the believe that the Bible is banned from schools or public area. Why should they get preferential treatment when they do not respect the rights of others?

Art is a form of expression

Expression is a form of communication

All these forms communicate

These are art forms

Art is a way of expression, not the final product
