Claim 1: Hosting the Olympic Games increases the tourist market in the host country/city and generates revenue.

Grounds: According to Olympic.org, Brazil welcomed 6.6 billion tourists during the 2016 Olympic Summer Games and generated an estimated $6.2 billion.

Warrant: The Olympic games is a large scale event which happens only once every four years. This event pulls in tourists from all around the world. Hosting this event boosts sales in the host countries transportation industry, food industry, as well as their hospitality industry due to the influx of tourists coming in. Therefore, it is inevitable that the host countries will make a l profit.
