DEBATE. Org, A New topic, New topic. . . Border fences/ Walls, Are necessary to Protect a nations sovereignty. By. . . Lookingattheissues 2
A nation can't survive if the borders aren't secure and will disingrate and fail like the once infameous Rome. Other countries by building fences /walls on their borders prove that they are effective in stopping invaders from invading a nation. Only those who believe in Nations without borders, A one world, Object to border fences/walls.
". . . . A brilliant college professor named Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, Mexifornia, Explaining how immigration " both legal and illegal " was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream. The cost to America's citizens to provide welfare to aliens flooding America's cities and towns is growing by leaps and bounds to the point of dissolution and unsustainable and will collapse under the ever increasing demands made upon it. Since America's borders are ineffective in keeping out illegal aliens and the elite in politics and education, ". . . . Encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. "and adovcate". . . . . Replacing. . . . The melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. . . . And claim. . . . It is important to ensure that we have various cultural sub-groups living in America reinforcing their differences rather than as Americans, Emphasizing their similarities. " Quoted Material taken from EIGHT STEPS TO DESTROY AMERICA, By Dick Lamm, Former Governor of Colorado March 11, 2017. . . . Dan Volkman

America must have control of who and how many aliens are allowed to enter this country. An impregnable border is a must if a nation is long to remain a nation.

First of all Hello!

So to go off your example of the Great Roman Empire. Rome did not fall just because of the lack of a wall. While this didn't help Rome had quite a few other things dragging it down. Below is a list of a few of their major issues.

1. Relying to much upon slave workers and Economic issues. - When Rome was in its prime they would invade and conquer a land then enslave the people and force them to work in the fields or wherever needed. However once expansion came to a halt and they stopped invading other lands they quickly ran out of workers. On top of that some of the wealthy citizens were taking money and running to the countryside to set up there own land instead of boosting Rome.

2. Over Expansion and the Eastern Empire. - At its height Rome was enormous. This led to it being a nightmare to rule over and was nearly impossible logistics wise. Since there was so much land to take care of this meant that they needed a bigger military which led to overspending in the military. Then we have the great split East and West. This sealed the deal since the East and the West all but out right refused to work together which led to the fall of the West and the East later on.

3. Civil War, Corruption and The Legion. - The Roman Empire also was plagued with a civil war. This would cause 20 different people to take the throne in just a span of 75 years. On top of this the emperors guard would often assassinate and install new sovereigns at will sometimes even auctioning off the position. This leg the the population loosing nearly all faith in the government. Lastly we have the army itself. As stated before the Empire was hard pressed at times to get men since they were having to rule such a large empire. The Romans eventually started hiring barbarians to come and join their military. They hired some of the very groups that ransacked Roman town prior. Of course this didn't go well as often the barbarians would turn on there Roman employers and just take what they wanted and flee.

Above are just a few of the reasons why the Roman Empire fell. Like i said being invaded didn't help but, If they ran their empire responsibly and not by greed then there could have been a much different version of history when it comes to the Romans.

Carrying on to modern times. Of the 175 countries there is thought to be around 77 border walls, Which isn't a whole lot.

Summary of the arguement. It takes more then invaders to destry a country. For a

A common argument is that building a wall is ineffective as it does not completely halt the flow of illegal aliens into the USA, And that the wall would (one day) fall due to artificial causes or natural deterioration. These same people often advocate for Socialism, A system that is extremely beneficial to a country for q few years before the inevitable economic instability causes the entire country to collapse into a cesspool of turmoil and corruption in their government. This fact is represented in current-day Venezuela, Whose currency has degenerated to the point that a bottle of water would cost a few billion Bolivars.

In short, These people do not recognize crucial factors when it is required. They do not recognize that Socialism will collapse within a few years but that it is highly beneficial when it is not ripping an economy to shreds, But fail to recognize the fact that a Border Wall would stem the flow of immigrants immensely and provide breathing room for the country but recognize that time trumps all.

Ironic, Is it not?
