I think that casts are better than dogs because they are cute and cuddly and easy to take care of, and they are alot less expensive.

Con

Dogs welcoming soldiers home is literally the most adorable/wonderful/beautiful thing ever. You can train them a lot more easily than a cat. The dogs are smarter, they protect your environment better, while cats are scared of everything.
