 Pro Secondly the second Clerks sorta had more point to it then the 1st Clerks. The whole 2nd movie was tons better then the 1st!!! The whole pillow pants, and the Lord of the Rings vs. Star Wars debate, AND Jays monologue and his dance were tops to the original!!!! Thanks to whoever accepts this debate!!!  Con I must disagree with the fact that the second movie was better and to steal a quote from Clerks 2, Clerks 1 was a massive achievement if you look at how much they accomplished with such a low budget movie. If the first movie wasn't so successful then they wouldn't have been able to become so popular (by they I mean Jay and Silent Bob). The sheer achievement of the second movie can only be attributed to the brilliant setup from the first. |

Pro FOR INSTANCE NO ONE WOULD KNOW THAT THERE WAS A WEIRDO CHRISTIAN DUDE NAMED ELIAS THAT TOOK CONSTANT RIDICULE FROM RANDALL!!! THERE WOULD BE NO PUKING OF A SUPER NERD!!! THERE WOULD BE NO (THE DONKEY THIING)!!!! AND THAT DUDE WOULD'VE NEVER GONE WITH THAT GIRL!!!!i HAVEN'T SEEN EITHER MOVIES IN A LONG TIME.....SORRY IF I SOUND ENEDUCATED IN THE WORLD OF CLERKS!!! SO WHILE IT IS TRUE THAT THERE WOULD BE NO SECOND WITHOUT THE FIRST THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE FIRST WAS BETTER...... THANK YOU FOR ACCEPTING THIS DEBATE!!!!!!! OH YEAH AND WASN'T THERE A JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKES BACK OR SOMETHING BEFORE CLERKS TWO!?!?!?!?! MY FRIEND WHO IS AN AVID CLREKS WATCHER SAID IT SUCKED.... BUT IDK I NEVER SAW IT....... Con Don't get me wrong I am by no means degrading the movie it was a riot I just feel that Clerks 1 is better because it is one of the movies that defined their style and made them who they are today. |
