Should education, whether it be public, private, or home school, be required and compulsory? I'm sure most people agree at least somewhat. I, on the other hand, believe we should not have any compulsory education system for primarily the reason that it is ineffective and useless.

People are naturally curious. This goes hand in hand with the fact that people are also naturally materialistic and capitalistic. When you want to do something, you learn how to do it. And to do it, you may need to learn how to do other things like read or do math. Everyone aspires for a profitable career and needs to do things to get to it. And they know they need to put in the work to get it. So, if they actually care to do it, then they will naturally take the incentive to do it themselves.

People do things worse when they are forced. When you are told not to do certain things like have sex or do drugs, it makes you want to do it so much more. When you are forced into going to school, most people hate it. Most people do not enjoy being forced to do things and while some accept it, I think if people were allowed to take charge of their own education, they could learn things far better. They want to learn it so they pay more attention to what they read about it, they learn it faster, and they enjoy doing it. Therefore, the government's force is unnecessary to make people learn, because when they aren't required, they learn it better.

How will people get jobs? Employers hire people based on if they can provide a profit to the company. If someone wants to be employed, they will show that they work hard and their education towards a topic and be employed like that. Also, removing the standards of education for business naturally drives college prices down immensely.
