Democratic Socialism in this debate will be defined as the policies and ideas sold to the public by Bernie Sanders which he called Democratic Socialism throughout the Democratic Primaries. I will argue against Democratic Socialism and for free market capitalism.

If you want a more explicit definition, see here:

That's a VERY vague definition of something you're arguing against.

I will gladly accept the debate if you can better define democratic socialism.

No point getting hung up by the label. The content is what is important. Bernie's policies are what matter in this debate.

I have to agree with n7. What you're talking about isn't democratic socialism. Bernie Sanders is actually a social democrat, not a democratic socialist. It's true that Bernie Sanders has called himself a democratic socialist, but that was likely a mistake.

n7 true. However he calls himself a Democratic Socialist.

Pedantics incoming.

Democratic socialism is socialism that wants a democratic state. Sanders is a social democrat. He wants a capitalist welfare state. That isn't socialism.

I would prefer for a Bernie supporter to accept the debate, but if none do then please, accept.

Even though I agree with the free-market I might accept just to see what I can come up with, what the most rational Bernie supporter could reasonably come up with using whatever available evidence I can find.

Good luck to whoever Pro is. It's always a difficult debate to argue a position that is demonstrably and logically inferior.
