Welcome to this debate. First round is for defining and last round is for concluding. I define diamond as "a metastable allotrope of carbon, where the carbon atoms are arranged in a variation of the face-centered cubic crystal structure called a diamond lattice" pictured like ![]() I define much, much more cheaper as "easily affordable by a standard household without debt, for example, $10 /per carat".
I accept. |

Thank you for accepting my debate. So, why should diamond remain at its price? Say, if its price surges down, diamond producer businesses will lose money. In turn, they will not produce diamond, thus destroying its worth all together. Many diamond investors would lose lots of money as well, giving way to a pure financial crash. This financial crash will damage the economy severely. Thank You. Benshapiro forfeited this round. |
