Ok, this is a drawing challenge. I am looking for a good opponent. Me and my opponent must present their own art piece within 1 day. The materials can only be pencil (non colour) and graphite related. The art piece therefore cannot be digital. The art piece may be only of our my opponent's and my creation. 1st round is not acceptance, my opponent must present his own art piece first in the 1st round. I shall then present my art piece in the 2nd round. My opponent must then say "pass" or "no round as agreed" in the 2nd round. I have decided to make this harder. There will be a theme. This theme is "celebrities/ famous people". Good day and good luck. ![]() It is the actor John Malkovich. HB Pencil set, on sketch paper used for portraiting and landscape. No effects or digital enchantments were used. |

Dayum! that is hella fine art. Good show! I have one question, why does the artpiece (especially the eyes) look a little brown? Please remember, i said only non-colour pencil/ graphite. Anyhoo. This is Avril Lavigne, ma girl. Not the prettiest, but who is? http://www.debate.org... ![]() Onto you, Con. |

Reasons for voting decision: Both sides had beautiful pictures, but Pro's eyes won me over. Conduct to pro because con was very rude in the comments.

Reasons for voting decision: Both did a great job on this. I particularly loved the eyes on pro's, yet there is something chilling about cons that is staying with me.

Reasons for voting decision: It comes down to picture quality. Both did very well so it is close. I believe that had Con had a decent quality camera to clearly show that he hasn't used brown/yellow He would have probably won the debate

Reasons for voting decision: Both compositions were fantastic but Con broke the rules by using colour.

Con used colour, which breaks rules. Despite this, both were good. I liked pros more in a nonhomo way.

Reasons for voting decision: of course, pro's drawing was amazing, creepy and chilling to the heart, but con's was more detailed and spoke more "words". Conduct to pro becuz I suspect use of color.

Reasons for voting decision: I find there to be some excellent shading contrasts in Pro's drawing. But Con's art looks very personalised. I feel like those eyes are watching me. I give conduct 2 points to Con for stylistic drawing but I find his drawing piece too dark coloured. I give argument 3 points to Pro for very clean aesthetically pleasing potrait. Reliable sources 2 point to Con for refined details. And spelling and grammar 1 point to Pro for very well done shading and lighting.

Reasons for voting decision: Very well done by both competitors. Ultimately I find Con's work to be superior. There's actually more personality in his drawing than in the photo it's based on. Pro had some inconsistencies in the eyes. her left eye is perfect, but the right eye looks hard and lifeless. Points go to Con.
I found my drawing, and took a picture with a plain unfiltered light directly on it. As noted, there is no colour in the eyes, all the drawing was normal pencil, beyond that, colour of the paper and lighting added to the affect of that glow in the original picture, also I was using a phone camera for it. So, I should be winning in regards to all those votes that claim I broke the rules, note also, I want my original picture to be used, not this, this is just substantial evidence to negate the claim.
Anyway, I am tired now, I cant be bothered to argue bout this. If you want, we can do another art thing.
Heres another question. If I had presented an art piece which looked to have had colour but was actually due to the effects of tonal patterns and colour paper. Would you not have raised the question as well? Especially if an explanation was given after?

look at the last one for Christ's sake. You need to actually sit down and research something about art techniques.
