God is an intelligent person
BoP is on pro to show: 1. God exists 2. God is a person 3. God is an intelligent person Pro has BoP because he is holding a positive assertion, since he's con on a negative proposition (-)(-)= + Intelligence: "Intelligence has been defined in many different ways such as in terms of one's capacity for logic, abstract thought, understanding, self-awareness, communication, learning, emotional knowledge, memory, planning, creativity and problem solving." Person :": a human being" Human: "Modern humans (Homo sapiens or Homo sapiens sapiens) are the only extant members of the hominin clade, a branch of great apescharacterized by erect posture and bipedal locomotion; manual dexterity and increased tool use; and a general trend toward larger, more complex brains and societies." I'd also like to know what con means by god Good luck to Con :) http://en.wikipedia.org... http://en.wikipedia.org... http://www.merriam-webster.com... |

God created the world logically so he is intellegent
"God created the world logically so he is intellegent" What's your evidence? How does it follow that he is a person? You can't just assert god created the universe, you have to give reasons. However, even if god created the universe, that wouldn't mean he's intelligent. Intelligence: "Intelligence has been defined in many different ways such as in terms of one's capacity for logic, abstract thought, understanding, self-awareness, communication, learning, emotional knowledge, memory, planning, creativity andproblem solving." Does god have a capacity for logic? P1) Space and time came into existence with the universe P2) There was nothing before the unvierse P3) God created the universe C1) God created the universe in no time and space from nothing That is not logical Understanding? " Theory of mind (often abbreviated "ToM") is the ability to attribute mental states—beliefs, intents, desires, pretending, knowledge, etc.—to oneself and others and to understand that others have beliefs, desires, and intentions that are different from one's own." Well godeither does not understand that others have different ideas or it's the case he's mean and prosecutes us anyways. Problem Solving? He does not seem to be able to save children from starving or save amputees? Communication? NO. God is really bad at communication. There's 1000+ religions. If he was good at communication, we'd all know he exists. Some still have no idea what a god is.(Pihara People) http://en.wikipedia.org... http://en.wikipedia.org... |

Reasons for voting decision: FF by con, no arguments given by con, no punctuation by con, no sources given by con. This was one of very few actual 7-point wins.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct for the forfeit. Arguments for the unrebutted case from Pro. Con wasted Pro's time.

That's just a few of the definitions of the word 'person'. No amount of semantics can justify calling God a person.
I never heard anyone in my life call God a person. It's absurd.
