To be honest, this channel is very boring. However, after observing all of the programs on this channel, I have concluded that "Good luck Charlie" is the best show currently still making episodes on family. I am excited to see who will accept this debate. There are a few rules following:
I. You must find a better show on this channel. II. At no time may my opponent change the show he is defending. He must explain how that show is better than Good luck Charlie. III. My opponent can only consider show that are still going on. (since good luck Charlie didn't officially end on this channel yet, it counts as a show that is still going on.) V. 10, 000 characters, 72 hours to respond My opponent can choose weather or not they would like to begin debating now, or use this round as acceptance. Good luck!
I'll use this round as acceptance and clarification on a few things. -BOP is on both of us, and we have the ability to provide a rebuttal towards the opponent's arguments. -I hope this can remain a respectful debate -I hope we both have fun with this debate! Also, I was about to choose the Proud Family for my TV show because in all seriousness, that was a D@mn good show. However, since it is not going on anymore (unfortunately), I will play Devil's advocate and represent, "Dog with a Blog" (which I hope gets cancelled soon). Anyways Jabuticaba! Lead on and present your first argument! Also, good luck :D |

Oh man! I loved proud family, I also enjoyed boy meets world, smart guy and that's so raven. The shows today are horrible, but honestly I believe that Good luck Charlie is a decent show that could have equaled to the old shows. Now to begin! Basic plot In a family of plenty of babies (4 at the beggining, and a 5th later in the series) Teddy Duncan, the second oldest child of the family begins to create video diaries for the new born baby Charlie. The video diaries are full of good lessons and warning about their crazy family! Throughout the series, Teddy learns alot about herself, and her family. With a trouble making little brother named Gabe, an idiot brother named PJ, a fat exterminator for a dad named Bob and a fame wanting mom named Amy, it's pretty hard to be around. But Teddy learns to accept all of them, while they go through hilarious episodes together. You better wish her Good luck Charlie. ==================================================================== Now I will share a few things on why Good luck Charlie is a great show, and much better than dog with a blog. Comedy Good luck Charlie is a hilarious comedy packed series. It's jokes and scenarios are practically incontestable. http://www.youtube.com.... It's hilarious, and creates great jokes. Because of all these amazing characters, it's not difficult to create such great scenes. Good luck Charlie is also much more realistic. It takes place with an average family, making it more relatable, and thus funnier. Dog with a blog however takes place in a house with 2 families who just met, with a talking dog. This is much less realistic, and thus diminishing the amount of hilarious material that all people will enjoy. Romance Good luck Charlie has various romances, between Teddy and Spencer, PJ and Skyler, and Gabe and Lauren. These various romances are both adorable, hilarious and touching. In one of the episodes, PJ's girlfriend Skyler moves to New York City, and PJ follows her. I'm a guy, but to be honest that was touching. Dog with a blog lack this. They have a few episodes where Tyler has a relationship with some Latina, but it was not very touching, nor funny. The romance is much more explained in Good luck Charlie. Acceptance: Lack of stereotypes Good luck Charlie has a variety of people in it. Both Teddy and PJ's best friends are African-American. (Emmett and Ivy) The cast of Good luck Charlie has a variety of different cultures in it, however it lacks stereotypes. The "dumb blond girls" stereotype lacks in Teddy. She is an average student, and she even gets into Yale at the end of the series. Also, besides that, the show accepts all, including sexual orientation. In one of the episodes, Charlie has a play date with her friend. Her friend has lesbian parents, and come with her. There is no odd confrontation, both Bob and Amy are very accepting, regardless of sexual orientation. The only problem they really had is that Bob didn't know who to watch the game with! ![]() Dog with a blog on the other hand has the racial stereotypes, as you can see in the Latina in the show. She has a Spanish accent, and acts with various Spanish stereotypes, such as watching soap operas in Spanish. Her name is Nikki. The importance of Family In Good luck Charlie, alongside the hilarious jokes, the episodes always comeback to the most important part, family. This show reminds us all that no matter how crazy our family is, we should still love them. Dog with blog is similar, but it doesn't always come back to family like Good luck Charlie. ![]() I will say only this for now, and save room for further arguments. Back to you! Sources: 1.http://en.wikipedia.org... Since this is just about a TV show, I believe in this case, wikipedia is acceptable. Nels4Tats forfeited this round. |
