I like to mate. Therefore, I want to mate.


My opponent"s argument is predicated on the false assumption that liking to do something necessarily means one wants to do something. For example, I like to eat an entire bag of crisps in one sitting, but I don"t want to engage in this activity because it will go straight to my thighs. Therefore, to argue that liking to mate therefore means wanting to mate is not a logically sound assertion.
