Pro

India became free on the 15th of August 1947. Our constitution was brought into force on the 26th of January 1950. From this day onwards, India was free from any outside interference.
According to 'The Free Dictionary' , an independent country is a country that has "the right to exercise freely the full range of power a state possesses under international law". This definition shows that India is really a free and independent nation, without any doubt.
Some points to support my view are:


    • India is independent in all spheres. It has its own defence, foreign, home, finance, trade & commerce, and information and communication policies without any foreign pulls and pressures.
    • India provides its people with some basic rights, also known as Fundamental Rights. They are - Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right against Exploitation, Right to Freedom of Religion, Cultural and Educational Rights, Right to Constitutional Remedies.
    • India has its own judicial system with zero tolerance towards any outside interference.
