He is not. . . He said "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. " Patriotism is defined by having pride for one's country. He evidently states that he does not have pride for his country, Therefore, He is not a patriot.

Ok the only reason Collin says this is because the national anthem in the third verse is racist. So he kneeled because the song was not racially appropriate. That does not mean that he is not proud of his country. He just thinks that the national anthem is racist which it is so he is correct by kneeling. "No refuge could save the hireling and slave" -"The Star Spangled Banner". The reason Kaepernick kneels is because this song mentions slaves which not racially appropriate. It's as simple as that he's proud of the country just not the national argument.
