Donald Trump is fully acquired to run for president. Given is current situation, he created a billion dollar company and forged trades and earned "honest" money. He as met all the guidelines required to run for the office. Although he has said some controversial thoughts, he is defending his position to make America great again.
I wish to thank my opponent for this debate and welcome you to debate.org ==The Case Against Donald Trump== Donald Trump is not fit to be President of the United States and is a clear and present danger to the US and global security, economy, and global standing. When it comes to Trump, the case against him is so strong it is hard to know where to begin. Contention 1: Economics Trump's economic policies are nothing short of a disaster. Trump has proposed starting a trade war with China, Mexico, and other countries. The Washington Post and other economist estimate that the trade war will cost over 4 million jobs and send the global economy into a spiraling recession. https://www.washingtonpost.com... Ben Stein notes: "I think Trump is popular because he says: I am going to go to China and get those jobs back. But he is not going to be able to do that. And any attempt to try would be a disaster." Contention 2: Foreign policy Donald Trump has proposed forcing the U.S. military commit war crimes and crimes against humanity. Trump proposed killing the wives and children of terrorists along with using torture during interrogations. Both of these are war crimes under the Geneva convention. CIA director Michael Hayden said that the military may go as far as to refuse to follow Trump's orders. https://www.washingtonpost.com... Contention 3: Trump has incited violence and racism Donald Trump frequently retweets images and tweets by white supremacists. Here is an example of what he posted back in November 2015:
According to Politifact, this claim was rated pants on fire false. Here is the breakdown of the real numbers:
I have included a video of Trump inciting violence at his rallies. Further, Trump has refused to call out the white supremacist and neo-nazis who are campaigning for him. Conclusion Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to the United States and is in no way fit to be President. His policies would be disastrous for the global economy and is in no way fit to be President. The resolution is rejected. |

Like all the people who lived and worked in this great nation. Donald Trump since his parents arrival to America has been earning a honest life, earning blood and sweat money and paying taxes like the rest of America. Donald Trump is equally qualified to run as President despite his comments. We the people have the choice to listen to him or march with him. I support Donald Trump for President.
My opponent has failed to respond to my arguments and so I extend them below. I wish to focus on an argument that my opponent has brought in the openning round "he created a billion dollar company and forged trades and earned 'honest' money." Donald Trump has had to file bankrupcy over four times [1] costing over 4.7 billion dollars [2]. Robert Reich noted: "In America, people with lots of money can easily avoid the consequences of bad bets and big losses by cashing out at the first sign of trouble. Bankruptcy laws protect them. But workers who move to a place like Atlantic City for a job, invest in a home there, and build their skills have no such protection. Jobs vanish, skills are suddenly irrelevant and home values plummet. They’re stuck with the mess. Bankruptcy was designed so people could start over. But these days, the only ones starting over are big corporations, wealthy moguls and Wall Street bankers, who have had enough political clout to shape bankruptcy laws (like many other laws) to their needs." [3] Further, was Donald Trump's money "honest"? Donald Trump has been linked to dealing with criminal organizations such as the mob and the mafia. [4]The resolution is rejected. Donald Trump is unfit to be President. References 1. http://www.politifact.com... 2. http://dividendreference.com...; 3. http://www.politico.com...; 4. http://www.politifact.com...; |
