Is love better than money?

As a first, My opponent hasn't defined the title of the debate properly. In debates, The topics are not followed by a question mark. That makes them a question, Rather than a statement or a proposition that can be debated upon. Putting that aside, I assume I'll be speaking against the motion, "Love is better than money. "
Love is meaningless if it doesn't sustain you and your partner. A relationship that's built over financial strain may survive the test of time but it can be easily countered by first acquiring enough wealth to take care of your loved one. It's not easy to wake up every day knowing that you and your partner ushered into a shortsighted decision and are now trapped in an emotional contract whereby none of you have enough time to focus on your goals and thus, None of you have money at all.
Love sounds fancy till you get punched in the mouth with reality. Fact is that your partner will not be willing to put up with you if they consider the relationship unsustainable. Even the pioneer humanistic psychologist Abraham Maslow put "Love" after "Safety" and "Physiological needs. " Surely, Physiological needs have the notion of sexual intercourse but it's understood that one can have sexual intercourse without love.
Money forms the foundation upon which the couple thrives in love. There are a few exceptions, Like the case of Connor McGregor and DeeDevlin. My opponent will be tempted to say that "true" love stays by your side even if you don't have money. If that's the case, Love is not only irrational but also rare. Most people will walk away from their partners the moment they realise that they're holding them down from leading a healthier life with more meaning. Meaning in life, Or self-actualization, Can only be found after one achieves basic security.

"Better" in what aspect? I would agree with the opposer that there needs to be a statement to agree/disagree on in order to have a formal debate. Not to mention, The question itself is rather broad, As "better" could be defined in more than one way.

When it comes to couples
Love is basically the feeling of safety and satisfaction.
Money can get you both safety and satisfaction. (I'm generalizing but. . . ) A woman normally attaches to someone who provides her safety. Someone who is balanced, Responsible and mature.
A man, However, Looks for satisfaction. Someone who is normally good-looking and provides him with sexual desires.
It's hardwired into us just like any other animal.
Money = safety and stability which in turn provides satisfaction.

Also what is love? Take "mother's love"
In the animal kingdom there are countless of examples of how a mother looks out for its offspring with an amazing display of "LOVE"
What is really happening is the mother wants to pass on their genes. That is why the child is protected. Take lions for example. Why is it that the male doesn't care much for the cub? Because the male has mated with many lioness therefore it doesn't care about loosing a couple of gene bags, Its got plenty more. This is also why the lioness defends the cub with its life. The lioness has only that cub that contains its genes.
This can be said for humans too. Even if adopted. The family "legacy" is passed on. "Mother's love" is only a display of motive to pass the next generation on. To help the child accomplish something.
In human society the best way to make accomplishments is money. Wealth is ultimately a necessity for stability. Sure your babe can love you but that doesn't mean you two are secure.
Money is better than love

I know all of this is a bit overwhelming but. . . . Tough love
