Sports are a necessary part of growing because they allow us to grow and learn. Studies have shown that when a child plays sports they tend to learn faster and succeed later in school. Playing sports also keeps us fit and healthy provides an excellent opportunity to make friends and socialise. That is why sports are an important part in growing up.
I believe that sports are not a necessary part of growing up. Not all children require sports in order to succeed in school, or to stay fit and active. And many children make friends well without sports. |

Yes, some children can grow up without sports however it greatly benefits the children that do. Studies also have shown that besides staying healthy, playing sports often gives the child a higher self esteem and makes them feel more satisfied with their life. Sports is an easy way to prevent the low self esteem that often leads to bullying.

A dogmatic assertion. Replace "sports" with physical activity and you have achieved a far more robust model.
