First round is acceptance. In this debate i will reason why i don't think the biblical god is omni-righteous.I'm not discussing its existence,i'm discussing if he is really always right and if he can really be trusted. This is my first debate,so i'm sorry if my newness affects the debate.Good luck pro.
I accept. Best of luck. |

Considering the biblical god is omnipotent[1] and omniscient[2],he knew everything that would happen even before creating anything.God knew Satan would betray him,but he created him anyways. After that, even knowing that Adam and Eve would sin by eating from a tree he put there. You couldn't say it was a test, because being omniscient he would already know what the outcome would be.You can say that it was all worth it,considering that to the people worshipping him he would give eternal happiness. The bible says that only a few people are going to heaven[3],and if this math is right, only 2.5% of the all the persons that ever lived in the world. That's an incredibly tiny amount of people! To put it to a perspective,2.7 billion people are going to heaven, and 105.3 billion people are going to burn eternally[4].And if that is God's plan, him being omnipotent, couldn't create a plan not involving torturing eternally 95% of all humanity?Another thing is how God promotes infanticide in the bible[5],as if children were to blame for their parent's sin.It also promotes sexism[6],rape[7]slavery[8],etc.I know the standards were different but God being omnipotent, couldn't create a book that works well in all times? And what about the missing bible books that are not accepted as part of it,[9],are they the word of God too?I don't see how a God that is always right would have his word scattered, and only some parts of it accepted. If he really wanted to show his words to us,why he would let a lot of his books to go missing,or to be not accepted, making it inaccessible for the readers? It actually shows that he is not.
"Hebrews 6:18: "It is impossible for God to lie.""
So the biblical god, does not apply to this argument. But as you've stated that this god is omni....
so this is merely an FYI
