Italy is better than England for many reasons like food, weather, cute men and women, cars like lamebrains and Ferrari's, History potpie Roman empire and the people are really nice, some greet you like family.

Hi, I'll be accepting your debate.
Before I even start truly debating, let's look at the hard facts.
- England is the largest country on the island of Great Britain.
- England is a part of, and the most influential of the countries in the United Kingdom.
- England rarely operates alone, working with Wales and Scotland in the United Kingdom.

1. Military
England is a part of the United Kingdom, also a country itself. As previously stated, England almost never operates alone, but operates with the entirety of the United Kingdom. The U.K. makes England much more powerful. For instance, militarily the U.K. is ranked as having the 6th strongest military in the world, while Italy is ranked as having the 11th strongest military in the world, according to the Global Firepower Index [1].
This means that the United Kingdom, and in-turn England, could effectivly beat Italy in a war. This means that militarily England is better then England.

2. Economic
England also has a better Gross Development Product then Italy, and it doesn't need the U.K. for this. England's GDP is 2 trillion USD, while Italy's GDP is 1.85 Trillion USD. England is economically better then Italy.

3. Nationally
England's national animal is the lion, while Italy's national animal is the wolf. Need I explain further? Not to mention London is one of the best and most advanced cities in europe.

1. History
It your sentance-long argument, you briefly bring up the history of Italy, essentially only touching upon Rome. Let us look at some more of Italian History.

753 B.C.: The founding of Rome. While this is followed by great military conquest, this also marks the beginning of mass slavery, brutal dictators (i.e. Nero, Caligula....), and senseless killing for entertainment.

1348: The Black Death reaches Italy. Italy is the first country in Europe to have the diesase. Despite the frequent deaths, Italy makes no attempt to quarentine, and as a result Italy becomes the gateway for the Black Death into Europe. 50 million people, 60% of Europe's population, dies.

Around 1864: The Sicilian Mafia rises in Italy. This crime syndicate takes root and spreads across the globe.

1922: Benito Mussolini becomes leader of Italy. This is the first Fascist leader to come to power and control a country. This inspires both the arousal of Fascism and National Socialism in Germany.

1936: Benito Mussolini, leader of Italy, sends troops to aid the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War. This leads to the rise of Francisco Franco, and his totalitarian government.

1940-1945: Italy joins the Axis side of the war. And to Germany's dismay, they are a terrible ally, further showing Italy's incompetence.

As you can tell, Italy has a fairly terrible history, and has nothing to brag about.

2. Everything Else
You kinda just rambled on and provided no argument, but I'll refute everything else.

Food: Completely overpriced [2]

Weather: Cold in the north and frequent Gales. Only really sunny in the south. Not to mention, Italy has many volcanos and floods.

Attractive People: Completely subjective, I could say the same about England.

Cars: Ferrari's and "lamebrains" (I assume Lamborghini) are extremely expensive and impractical, but if we are talking about expensive car brands, England has Jaugars and Rolls Royce.

Nice People: Of course, "nice" is also subjective I could say the same exact thing about England.

In short, Italy isn't all it is cut out to be.
