Fair enough conspicuous, good point there. That's exactly the type of argument I was expecting in this debate. Like I stated in the debate, may the Ali vs. Marciano argument live on, it's one of the best.

Although I agree and voted for you CON, I have to disagree adamantly to the fact that Rocky Marciano was better than Ali. Marciano did not fight near the talent that many boxers have fought over their careers. Marciano only beat Joe Lewis in his second comeback from retirement. This was well into the Brown Bombers golf years and the fighting to pay the IRS.

Pro Muhammad Ali is the best heavyweight boxer of all time. he was the first to utilize the style of carrying the hand low and away from the face and using speed to dodge his opponents. if he had not had his license suspended during the war, he would have an unbelievable amount of victories Report this Argument Con While it may be difficult to argue against Muhammad Ali being perhaps the most renowned athlete of all-time, it is possible to argue about who is the greatest boxer of all-time. And such is the topic for this debate. With that stated, I believe the great Rocky Marciano is the greatest boxer of all-time. There is no doubt that this debate has been on going for over 40 years, and may this debate rage on forever because it is important that people never do forget these two boxing legends. While Ali brought almost incomparable speed and deception to the sport of boxing, it was Marciano who defined the term "fighter". Marciano was a power puncher who refused to be out fought, and he proved this with an unprecedented 49 straight wins, 43 of which coming in the form of the knock out variety. Report this Argument
