It is no secret that music programs in public schools are disregarded and sometimes ignored by school districts. Music programs promote individuality, enhance coordination, and boost team skills in individuals.

Although supporting music would be beneficial, there are many other things to be concerned about and include for the school. For example, focusing all of the money or attention only on music ignores the fact that the food the kids eat is unhealthy. Also, providing more funds for afterschool programs or making sure teachers have everything they need is key. The focus cannot just be on music, there is much more that need the help.
Debate Round No. 1

Of course it is unreasonable to focus all resources of the School District on the Music program, however it is beneficial to the students if perhaps more money was focused on the music programs. These music programs promote and develop language and reasoning. Music training at an early age develops and grows the left side of the brain which is responsible for language development and also reasoning. Music programs also promote the idea of working as a team and unifying to create something that is beyond any individual. Playing an instrument in a band is a great way to create friendships but also teaches how work with other people. As a musician I understand that in order to make music, it is required to work, listen, and communicate with piers. The significance is that these are all skills that are helpful in the professional world.
