Compatiblism is basically this: "Yeah there"s no free will but we"re going to believe there is anyways. "
I accept to support Compatibilism in the Pro under the following definition: Compatibilism offers a solution to the free will problem, Which concerns a disputed incompatibility between free will and determinism. Compatibilism is the thesis that free will is compatible with determinism. (https://plato. Stanford. Edu/entries/compatibilism/) I assume that Con will be arguing that this philosophy is untenable. I look forward to an intellectually stimulating and respectful debate with Con. |
