To say that the Authorization for Use of Military Force gives too much power to the President is absolutely illogical, simply due to the fact, that the reasoning for the president in this case is to use military force against anyone he seems deems was involved in the 9/11 attacks. This includes nations that harbored or enabled the terror plot to occur.

In my opinion, the current authorization for use of military force gives too much power to the President. This is because the President doesn't get Congressional approval for it. This throws out our checks and balances. All of this gives too much power to the President. This is much too powerful in the hands of an incumbent, especially an incompetent one *cough* Trump *cough*.
