Most people associate rap with being "gangsta" and being an ignorant, Crack slanging thug. In truth rap is very diverse and while there are retarded rappers there are also very skilled ones who talk about a wide variety of subjects. When it comes to being poetically inclined rap is actually the most advanced genre, Here are a couple examples.

You aren't clear about one thing: rap has many different artists in which they do change what the lyricism of the entire genre is like. For example:
https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=XbGs_qK2PQA
is much much much more advanced than
https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=ZaaNDcXO1fI
.

And plus, Rap totally sing about discrimination about the poor in many ways.
https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=4LfJnj66HVQ is one way.
Rap also sings about drugs.
https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=bnCT0GXgLJg is one example.
About sex.
https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=raVe1hZxFAc is one example. One of the most "moral" female rappers, Lizzo is singing about it, Imagine how the world actually is like.
all of them yields curse words which aren't nice to say. They are actually used so casually it is a dirt placeholder.

Besides, Who actually listen to rap? That thing is basically too shallow to be a serious music genre consider it is too skewed towards what music was actually meant to be.

https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=ot4ulSeYcHU is a video of opera. This lyric is much more profound. It is premodernism but much more closer to modernism, And raps are basically modernism that is so edged that it can barely call that anyways.

Up to refutes.

The first song looks like it is singing about the harsh truth about society, But sadly the lyricism isn't so great that i have only 1 idea what he's saying. Good song but not so good lyrics.
The second song. Just WHAT.

Idea: rap isn't the most advanced genre according to lyricism.

https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=MHi9mKq0slA For example, Compare this,
to
https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=LDZX4ooRsWs

Which one do you think more advanced? These are just hot songs from different periods of time that still belongs to the new millennial. Argue. What can you say?

I am saying that rap contains the best lyricism first of all, Not that all rap is the best. The best lyricist is a rapper but the worst lyricist might be one as well. It's true that rap is designed in such a way that ALLOWS you to be the most lyrical but that doesn't mean Lil' Pump is a lyrical genius. What I mean by it allowing you to be the most lyrical is that rap focuses specifically on lyrics more than other genres, Rap is rapped and not exactly sung because it is just as much poetry as it is music whereas in other forms of music the music part is the main focus.
The profanity, Violence etc. In rap is not an argument because not liking it is subjective plus there is no rule that says a rapper has to talk about those things. Subject matter has nothing inherently to do with a music style in itself, You can write a rap song about being a red neck and a country song about your life in new york city for example.
Now I will try to help you understand what I mean by lyricism, And present you with rap songs while explaining why they are actually lyrical.

First of all when it comes to being "profound" specifically there are plenty of raps, For example this rap is about overcoming life's vices and they are metaphorically characterized as "Gods" because of how they control people's lives.

This next one is from Eminem, Who is one of the only popular rappers who take rap to it's proper lyrical extremes. In this one, Take note of how many syllables he is actually rhyming and also notice the numerous examples of clever puns and wordplay. If you don't like it based on the slang he is using or subject matter that's fine, But you can't deny how capable he is of rhyming and wordplay.

Also rap is about "flow" just as much as rhyming and wordplay. When flow is done properly it makes the rap have a "smooth" quality that other genres just don't have. Here is an example of that:

Sure, Rap is the most lyricistic, Having most of the music masterpiece made out of lyrics, But that doesn't make it the best. If you ought to let uganda to make their only spacecraft and the best one, It won't be better than apollo 17 anyways.

This time I do refute.

"First of all when it comes to being "profound" specifically there are plenty of raps, For example this rap is about overcoming life's vices and they are metaphorically characterized as "Gods" because of how they control people's lives. "

This is as poetic. And it is more helpful than this silly stupid rap song.

And trust me, I tried 10 people and 9 people said the rap song there is the grain of sand in the ears. Trust me. It sound like trash.

"This next one is from Eminem, Who is one of the only popular rappers who take rap to it's proper lyrical extremes. As this is lyrical, This is just babbling nonsense. You could be sacrilegious and play 20 notes a second but they sound like thunder thapping noise played on a crooked violin stand. The only thing this is good is that is remains grammarly correct, And nothing else. Even one of the best rappers does this, Ah what do I have hope on rap?

And only for rhyme? This is like playing mozart with his style, But playing something he didn't lay a finger on, And continuously saying this is mozart. While the word is amusing it is so far off the og path i have 0 idea what he is trying to tell us, Even if i've listened it to full hours in front of my PC getting a trip to the eye doctor. This is like, Make a space station, So you use 100% of the budget of the nation, And there are not even cable TV to display it to the world. Doing this is like so forced. Listen to something else. Like https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=nlcIKh6sBtc this sounds more natural.

"Also rap is about "flow" just as much as rhyming and wordplay. When flow is done properly it makes the rap have a "smooth" quality that other genres just don't have. Here is an example of that:"

I do not understand it. The flow doesn't make the lyricism better. What flow is better, Play piano solo, And the flow is great, And the lyricism is nonexistent. Trust me. Every other genre has that.

https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=HgzGwKwLmgM

This reason so far is irrelevant.

This is me as the guest, So I only need to prove that the rap isn't the best at lyrics, And that is what I am doing. Those opinions are only your own.

Yes you can find retarded rap lyrics and judge rap based on those, And that is equally retarded as finding epic rap lyrics and claiming that all rap is just as good.

rap is very advanced. This lyric from one of kanye's song is probably the most advanced lyricism ever "Poopy-di scoop
Scoop-diddy-whoop
Whoop-di-scoop-di-poop
Poop-di-scoopty
Scoopty-whoop
Whoopity-scoop, Whoop-poop
Poop-diddy, Whoop-scoop
Poop, Poop
Scoop-diddy-whoop
Whoop-diddy-scoop
Whoop-diddy-scoop, Poop"
