Marijuana should be legalized because when we look into it, it is way different from alcohol. Alcohol destroys your mind and health, but marijuana only makes you high.
The preceding argument has (falsely) mentioned that marijuana "only makes you high". Marijuana, on the other hand, has a terrible effect on the user's mental health. This is due mainly to the fact that marijuana has a negative impact on the using individual's intelligence. A study (recently) led by an American university shows that marijuana users tend to have below average IQ's, unhealthy brain structures, and weak memory performance. Moreover, the AMA (American Medical Association), stated that extreme usage of marijuana can result in medical impairment, anxiety, and psychotic thoughts. |
