Creativity is dying, and it is all due to school uniforms. At the school age, children are starting to become the person that they are meant to be. Their personalities are shaped in a great part by school, and if schools do not encourage individuality and creativity, children may never learn the importance of being their own person and of cherishing creativity. Some may argue that a uniform code is put in place to discourage bullying. The unfortunate truth is that bullying would happen no matter what. There will always be that one person, who because of their own insecurities, will choose to pick on innocent classmates. Another reason that some feel it is best to keep the uniform code is because some students will opt for inappropriate clothing when given the opportunity to dress down. This can be prevented. All a school would need to do is to establish a dress code, where the students can wear what they want, but it must be appropriate. Creativity is something that needs to be preserved, and it starts with their learning environment.
