With all of the talk about banning AR15s to stop school shootings, I argue that semi automatic handguns are more dangerous than AR15s in this matter.

Semiautomatic handguns are easier to conceal, fire at the same rate as an AR15, and have hollowpoint rounds that maximize damage on impact.

AR15s are long range rifles that are nearly impossible to conceal and are not meant for close range targets.

Whilst a rifle is almost impossible to conceal, it has a larger capacity, meaning less needed to reload. You can keep shooting without worrying about counterattacking, and plus, its reload is probably faster than a semi. Plus, a pistol has worse accuracy, and, at close up, it won't matter if you are shot in the head with a pistol or an assault rifle. A rifle has much more stability, while a pistol has a recoil. An inexperienced shooter has a higher chance to miss with a pistol than with an assault rifle.
