I think abortion should not be legal because it is a technical murder (of a future citizen)

Good Luck :)

I think abortion should be legal because it protects women and their rights in various ways.

Thank you for inciting this debate. This should be interesting, considering I'm simply in high school. Good luck.
Debate Round No. 1

Let's start off with the murder situation. According to many citizens and politics an unborn child is considered a human being, so it is illegal to bring harm to the fetus. But this isn't the case with abortions. Abortions are legal although there are charges held is you inflict harm to the fetus in any other way, shape or form. Why is this? What about the father of the fetus? What if he wanted a kid? The mother is the one who decides if she gets an abortion, but the father has no say. In this case, the father becomes the victim if they wanted a kid and/or became close to the fetus. (Yes, parents become close to kid before the fetus is even born.)

Abortion cannot be legal because it describes the confession to the crime. Not the crime the will or will not take place by justification later provided. To expose this publicly is Gender Specific Amputation an abortion? Could it be proved publicly to be an abortion with evidence that it is gathered and not just based on a public confession to a crime, to officially stop life, self-incrimination is created by this witness account, singling out a specific process abortion which is intellectual arguing officially stopping life. Things aborted can be restarted as they are officially started not officially medically removed.

Only the woman has the right to make this claim it is not a common defense to the State licensed medical professional.
