I think Pluto should be a planet again! It was a planet, To begin with. It shouldn't be stripped of its title just because it can't clear its orbit when it was planet before IAU said a planet can't be a planet if it can't clear its orbit.
Words have meanings and they are one of the best ways we communicate ideas and categorize/label our thoughts. Pluto was curb kicked as a planet because it does not fit the definition of the word we use when we are talking about planets. In the same respect, It wouldn't make sense to call earth a star - because it doesn't fit the definition of a star. It's nonsensical. |

Reasons for voting decision: Pro forfeited rounds without explanation, loss of conduct. Pro failed to expand argument with the 'why we should call Pluto a planet despite not meeting definition. Con argument made sense, that it does not make sense to call something other than what it is. I still like the idea of calling Pluto a planet though, somehow a little bit. Just that sense of knowing something one way for so long, it does not bother a person especially to wander into the nonsensical.
