Assigning homework is unfair and counterprodictive. (just writing this cuz i have to)

I would like to argue that assigning homework is not counterproductive. This is because when students answer questions and solve problems, it is in a way helping them study the units they need to learn. Practicing questions that are similar to what appear on unit tests gives them a chance to get used to the subjects they are learning, and as a result will make them perform better when tested. Because of this reason, assigning homework is instead productive for the students that work on it.

I think that homework is okay, but it is unfair to kids who spent at least 6 hours a day at school, to come home and have 1-3 more hours of homework. 10-15 minutes of homework a day is enough. Now, a lot of teacher give homework for bad behavior, which makes sense. I am in the middle on this.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro only said a statement and Con explained why students should have homework. But I agree with pro but Con did a better job. It really wasn't a debate.
