You can"t be serious with the idea with allowing mentally ill owning a gun or ?

Look at all the mass shooters : Stephen Paddock, Adam Lanza, Nicolas Cruz, Sueng Hui Cho and many more .......

These people all have mental disorder yet you said they should be allowed to own a gun ?

Adam Lanza was diagnosed as autism, and look at the result ? He killed 20 children and 6 adults.

You also have autism and yet you want to own a gun.

I am really really afraid that you will go on and shoot people.

The homicide rate within the USA is 4 per 100,000. 1.5% of the US population is autistic (https://www.annualreviews.org...).

Assuming that all the homicide is done by autistic people and assuming that they only kill 1 person each(so there are more murderers), it means that about .2% of autistic people will commit murder. Given that this is not reality, much less autistic people will commit murder, probably less than .1%.

Also, all the reasons why non autistics need a gun also apply to autistics. Autistics people need guns for protection against criminals too.

The UK banned guns, Northern Ireland legalized them. The UK has a higher homicide rate. The US has semi automatic weapons legal. Greenland does not. The US has a lower homicide rate.

I have no intention to commit a mass shooting, so don't worry.

Some mental disorders may cause the person to become much more likely to murder someone.
Yes, They should have self-protection, But the risk of them murdering another is too high.

Autism isn't a mental illness. It's a disorder. Violence is not a criteria for autism diagnosis. Comorbidity is likely the key issue in any autism links to violent acts. Very important difference. Correlation does not equal causation. Anyway, it is my belief that people with mental illness should not be allowed to have a gun. I do not believe that autism in itself is a mental illness.

I have no intention to shoot people intentionally with a deadly gun.
