Should people be exempt from dress codes on the basis of their religion or culture?

If a company, school, etc. requires a certain dress code, should a person be exempt from it if it goes against their religion? If a company or school does not allow hats, should Jews be exempt from this to be allowed to wear a yarmulke? If company policy is that men are to be cleanly shaved, should Muslim men be allowed to still have a beard? Should women be allowed to wear a hijab? If so, why? Why should they be allowed special privileges just because they believe in something different?

Dress codes exist for multiple purposes. In many places, it is to prevent socially unacceptable attire for the setting, in others it is to prevent offensive views representing an entity. In all cases, however, flexibility is a necessity for functionality. To step back from the topic of the debate for a moment, it is impossible to create a dress code so precise that there will be zero loopholes.
Rather than striving for the unattainable, to reverse back to the debate, it is an advisable move to create exceptions for religious beliefs for multiple reasons. Religion is an important life of many people. In my personal experience, many students have had emotional breakdowns due to an inability to complete one of the five daily prayers in the Islamic faith. With something that puts faith in a place beyond our current life, this attachment is understandable.
Many religions have certain appearances or attire that are required by their doctrine. Of course, there are variations of every religion, however, I will stick to traditional practices for sake of argument. Starting with the Islamic faith, it is common for the women to wear a headdress known as a hijab. In the faith of traditional Muslims, it is a nearly unforgivable offense for a woman to be seen without her Hijab by anyone except her husband. Once again pulling from my personal experiences, my public high school allows students to wear their hijabs due to our high number of refugee students. I once witnessed a student pull another student's hijab off. The shame on the Muslim student's face will remain with me for the remainder of my life.
It is commonly argued that these dress codes are discriminatory against other faiths. I believe this to be true, but unintentionally so. Our culture has developed as a predominantly Christian nation. With the colliding of culture, we have been slow to accommodate other traditions and values. This is because we cannot grasp the importance of something that seems so trivial to us. We are unable to comprehend a faith in which an article of fabric protects us from damnation. This is the reality of many religions.

- What would the purpose be for a company to require their male employees shave? And why should Muslims be exempt from this?

"To step back from the topic of the debate for a moment, it is impossible to create a dress code so precise that there will be zero loopholes."
- A Muslim with a full beard at a company that expects men to shave is not exploiting a loophole. A Jew wearing a yarmulke at a company that does not allow headwear is not exploiting a loophole. Both instances are blatant disregards of the dress code.

- Why should that be the company's problem?

- Again, why should that be the company's problem? If an employee cannot meet the company's expectations, they should leave the company. There are willing employees who can do the work without having to take time off to pray 5 times a day.

- Then she should avoid situations where that would be required of her, namely employment in companies with dress codes. What if her employers expect her to have an ID card with their face on it? Surely you can see the practical necessity of this?

- When in Rome, do as the Romans do. If someone from a drastically different culture to ours wants to live here, they should abide by our rules. Not the other way around.

Well, I wonder how different your belief and their belief actually is?
It seems s to be our own existence creator of many names. So I call her or his nature. Why bother thinking of a first name bases anything else but nature.

The nature of our own existence. The nature of the known universe. The nature of people. The nature of all things is just that the nature of all known and unknown.

Why bother with more segregation and add more rules and regulations isn't there enough already?
